Survival/Rescue operations demand a versatile knife able to withstand the most extreme abuse. The SRK® (Survival Rescue Knife) was designed specifically with this in mind. The blade is finished with a rich Tuff-Ex coat which helps to protect the AUS 8A Stainless steel from the elements. It features a tremendously strong clip point thats fine enough for delicate work, yet possesses enough belly for efficient cutting, slashing and skinning strokes as well. At 3/16 of an inch thick, the Survival Rescue Knife® offers the sturdiest possible point and edge configuration, without sacrificing sharpness. The SRK's® handle sports a single quillon finger guard and a deeply checkered Kray-Ex™ grip.

I have had my SRK for 4 years.I always bring it with me while hunting and fishing. The knife and sheath have held up really well against the elements, no rust at all and the finish is not coming off. I've used it to clean both small and big game. The blade holds it's edge and is easily sharpened. The grip is great, no slipping even when wet. The SRK is a very good knife.

If you want a knife you can keep at your side and trust to do whatever task you ask of it, look no further. Camping, fishing, hunting, self-defense; this knife has gotten through it all, and I haven't sharpened it for two years - I can still cut steak with it! This knife is the one to get. Thank you, Cold Steel!

I have owned mine since the knife was released, it is my go to knife, skined game with it hunting or camping it fills the need, only complaint is that I can not get a newer factory kydex stlye sheath for it, came with a ballistic nylon sheath which has held up very well, but would like the newer sheath, also have a recon tanto and just bought a GI Tanto LOVE THESE KNIVES!!!
