Imagine experiencing a hunting trip where you truly
didn't know if you'd come back in one piece? Cold Steel
President, Lynn C. Thompson, came close while hunting
the "outback" of Australia. One small mistake while
trekking through the bush could have easily meant he'd
be steam rolled by a 2000 pound Buffalo or get gored by
a vicious wild boar. And that's not including the other
deadly challenges such as, venomous snakes, huge saltwater
crocodiles and shark-infested rivers.

 | For many years I have been asked to produce a "Greatest Hits" movie. Although I have always favored the idea I felt I was not ready to do so until now. My criteria was and still is that such a production must be able to stand on its own. It must be exciting, compelling and well produced. The film must be informative, yet thrilling. As good or better than my best movie. Most importantly, I wanted it to exceed people's expectations. I am proud to say, Mark Sullivan's Greatest Hippo Charges Vol.1 does all those things and more. |
|
 | Simply stated, Death Rush is my best movie ever! For those of you not familiar with my work, this statement may not mean much. But take it from me, this movie has over-the- top adrenaline and will go down in history as the greatest dangerous game hunting movie ever made. Filmed enitrely on location in the beautiful country of Tanzania, East Africa during the 2005 hunting season, Death Rush takes you through nine complete hunts for monster rogue bull hippo on dry ground and huge Cape buffalo. Tossed in for good measure is a fantastic hunt for an incredible Selous bull elephant the likes of which any hunter would give his right arm for. You won't believe your eyes when you see the length of this guy's tusks. |
|
 | As the name implies, Death by the TON is jammed full of big animals bitting the dust, many at very close range. Filmed over the past four years in Tanzania, East Africa with Professional Hunter Mark Sullivan, this movie features incredible life and death action including what many believe is the finest rogue bull hippo charge ever recorded. If we believe that a picture is worth a thousand words, then the front cover photo says it all. Three and a half tons of blood and guts charging at top speed with only one thing on his mind...to kill me and my client utterly dead. All I can say, thank goodness for big bullets and brave clients. |
|
 | I consider Death At My Feet to be my all-time greatest hunting achievement and one that will probably never be duplicated again. By anyone's measure, this is the greatest kill or be killed, blood-on-the-shoes hunting movie ever made. |
|
 | Shot To Death is the finest filmed, composed and edited movie I have in the Mark Sullivan Dangerous Game Collection. Without an equal, this movie features the finest great maned lion and monster leopard footage ever recorded. Filmed entirely on location in some of Tanzania's most beautiful and remote wilderness, Shot To Death breathtakenly entertains you with 11 heart-pounding hunts for lion, leopard and buffalo on the banks of the famous Rungwa River. |

 | November 6, 1996 is a day that I will remember forever. It is the day that I shot and killed the charging buffalo that adorns the front cover of this movie. I was hunting with Hector Gonzalez, a first time client. Upon his arrival into camp, Hector turned to me and said that it was his dream to have a buffalo charge. The events leading up to that day seemingly fell into place and Hector got his wish. I consider this to be one of the finest buffalo charges of my professional hunting career and I've had many of them. This hunt also illustrates perfectly my unique and often criticized manner and method of hunting dangerous game for which I make no apology. From beginning to end, you see it all! |
|
 | In 1995 I conducted my safaris in one of Tanzania's most remote and beautiful regions called Mlele. Located along the northeast boundary of Katavi National Park, Mlele holds a wealth of game including great maned lion, heavy-thick leopard and truly big buffalo. |
|
 | I have been a professional hunter in Tanzania, East Africa since 1990; the year I made my first documentary safari film, Africa's Black Death. Since its introduction to the world, Africa's Black Death has become the largest selling dangerous game hunting film of all time. The events depicted in that movie, more specifically the blood-on-the-shoes buffalo charge, have forever changed me life. |

 | In the Swahili language which is spoken throughout East Africa, M'bogo means Cape buffalo. Once heard it spoken by your African tracker, you never forget it. It grabs you like a vice and doesn't let go. Many a mid-afternoon's day has been jump-started by the very whisper of it. The excitement generated is infectious. Adrenaline sets in, minds clear, emotions run wild and men prepare for combat. It's no coincidence that over the years it has become my favorite word in any language. |
|
 | The Moyowosi Game Reserve in 1992 was quite possibly the best hunting block in Tanzania for trophy lion. In that year conditions were perfect. Long grass that was usually found in the hunting areas had all but been cleared with the first fires. The heavy rains, due in March, had not come at all. And except for scattered pools of water hidden deep out into the Moyowosi floodplain, the entire region was dry as dust. The great buffalo herds had no choice but to cross miles of open ground and drink from this trecherous water source. It was easy pickings for lions and hunters alike. |

 | For more than 100 years, a host of lies has been promongulated by professional hunters, clients and writers alike concerning the true facts surrounding the hunting of Africa's most dangerous game. No one has yet dared to challenge these lies until now. |
